Match between GLPI name and plugin is done by FQDN

Hi,
[edit to corresponding to my last real case observation ]
I have a computer how don't have the same name in "Name" and "FQDN", I don't know why, maybe badly renamed in MS LDAP.

So... The station is in GLPI, and stay not present by the plugin. Name is the same as in GLPI, but matching seems to be done by the FQDN.

eg : GLPI name is PORT-XXXXXXXXABC and in plugin name PORT-XXXXXXXXAB, plugin FQDN is PORT-XXXXXXXXABC.mydomain.local, plugin DN is CN=PORT-XXXXXXXXAB, OU=Computers,DC=mydomain, DC=local

Clusters Objects

Hello

In GLPI 9.5.5 there are the clusters.
Such objects may exist in AD : so LDAP will see them

-> Take care of CLusters table in LDAPcomputers.

Insertion into Computer

Hello

We can see the computers not present in GLPI : OK
why not an insertion action into 'computer' table ?

compatibility with GLPI 9.5.0

I updated my GLPI to the newest version 9.5.0 and the ldap computers plugin is not compatible, are you planning to update the plugin so it can run on 9.5?

Où peut on trouver quelques ligne explicative sur ce plugin
je l'ai découvert et installé car il me sert pour pour consolider l'inventaire GLPI

Par contre Je n'ai pas trouvé de doc même minime pour expliquer comment gérer les vues
Je l'ai configuré et créé une vue il fonctionne
mais je ne sais pas par exemple combien de temps la vue que j'ai créé est disponible….
et surtout ou sont stockées les vues une fois créés je ne les trouve pas elles n'apparaissent pas
Quand je clique sur View LADP Computer j'ai un tableau et je ne peux pas retrouver et modifier, supprimer la vue que je viens de faire

Where can we find some explanations about this plugin
I discovered and installed it because it is used to consolidate the GLPI inventory

But I have not found any documents that explain how to manage the views
I configured it and created a view … it works
but I don't know for example how long the view that I created is available….
and where the views are stored once created I can't find them and they don't appear
When I click on View LADP Computer menu, I have a table and I can't find ,modify or delete the view I just made

In the plugin config the role of this parameters:

LDAP alias processing
How long to keep outdated computers

Before i accept your request, here is a list of things you need to correct in your xml:

• please fill correctly the list of url: https://github.com/pluginsGLPI/ldapcomputers doesn't exist
• add a logo
• and optionnaly some screenshots.

FQDN seems to be user to match with GLPI names

How can I match with Name ? Is it correct to change this ? There is no control panel to change the matching role.

Conflict when two computers have the same name in different domains

When managing multiple LDAPs, if two computers have the same name in multiple domains, all the DNs of the affected computers are listed in all those computers.

For exemple, given:

• CN=computer1,DC=domain1,DC=org
• CN=computer1,DC=domain2,DC=org

In GLPI: the "LDAP info" tab for computer1.domain1.org and computer1.domain2.org will list the CNs for both computers.

It seems that the link between the plugin-specific fields and the computer table is made on the name rather than the UUID.

Status of Computer in AD

What is the menaing of this field ? where does it come from ? I don't see it in the differents fields of our AD.

Getting the computer attributes

Hello!

It'd be great to have a function of getting the value of a given comp attribute from AD and inserting it in the computers table.

For example, we frequently consult the description field of a comp account in AD. On the other hand, we have GLPI, that has its own description field. It'd be convenient if there were some 'AD description' field, which could be placed near its GLPI counterpart, so as to have all the relevant info at one place.

Or another example. To update the location field in GLPI basing on the correspondent OU in AD.

Is something like that perhaps planned as a future feature?
