The ShacShifter

The ShacShifter is a shape shifter for the Shapes Constraint Language (SHACL) to various other format. Currently our focus is on convertig a SHACL NodeShape to an RDForms template.

Installation and Usage

You have to install the python dependencies with pip install -r requirements.txt.

To run start with:

$ bin/ShacShifter --help
usage: ShacShifter [-h] [-s SHACL] [-o OUTPUT] [-f {rdforms,wisski,html}]

optional arguments:
  -h, --help            show this help message and exit
  -s SHACL, --shacl SHACL
                        The input SHACL file
  -o OUTPUT, --output OUTPUT
                        The output file
  -f {rdforms,wisski,html}, --format {rdforms,wisski,html}
                        The output format

Use SHACL Standard Test Cases

Check if there are Test Cases provided with the SHACL Standard.

Add a radiobutton to select between literals and iri ref

Regarding #20.

Add a radio button behind the input for an option, so the user can select between literal and iri reference.

(If the nodekind is set or a datatype is given, you can preselect the radio option and disable the option.)

Initial Example Serializer

Implement an initial Serializer that demonstrates how to use the internal object structure.

Use an Object RDF Mapper (ORM) for reading SHACL

Maybe it is a good idea to just read the SHACL description using an Object RDF Mapper (ORM).

Add an option to not break the parsing process on constraint violation

At the moment an exception will be raised and parsing is stopped. Make it an option to skip a shape on constraint violation and go on with the next candidate.
Question: How to report the skipped shapes and their reason of skipping?

Handle possible targets in (HTML)Serializer

If a sh:target* is given, check if the resource of interest (ex:s) get's the proper triple (ex:s a ex:class)

Serializer for HTML Forms

A Serializer/Writer for simple HTML forms. The Form should be annotated with RDFa.

Select shape to render or render all shapes with HTML serializer

The #20 branch allows to create forms for shapes, but unlike the HTML serializer in the master branch, it just creates one form, if two shapes are defined.

Two options:

1. Add an option, to select the shape to render
2. Render one form for each shape, as for the HTML serializer in the master branch

Parse QualifiedValueShapes as well-formed Shapes not Property Shapes

ShapeParser (parsePropertyShape()) tries to parse a sh:qualifiedValueShape as a property Shape which leads to errors when parsing some W3C test examples.

According to W3C "The values of sh:qualifiedValueShape in a shape must be well-formed shapes".

Create IRI references if sh:nodeKind sh:IRI

Regarding #20
If for a property the node kind is set to IRI create an IRI reference.
