GitHub Issues to PDF

A program to help collect GitHub issues as PDF files.

Note: Node v7.6+ required to run GitHub Issues to PDF

Installation

1. Clone or Download GitHub Issues to PDF (GIP).
2. Run npm install inside the folder containing GIP.
3. To avoid GitHub API limits create your own Personal Access Token, GIP will ask you for it the first time you run it.
4. From the command line, navigate to the GIP folder and run npm start

The pdfs will render to ./rendered_pdfs; if the folder does not exist yet, it will be created.

Download open issues only

I wanted to use this tool to snapshot all the open issues, so e.g. I can have what do to during flight 😉 Could you please add a filter to download open issues only? As of today we have year filter, but it's not sufficient.

Refactor GIP to use Puppeteer instead of PhantomJS

Currently reworking GIP to use Puppeteer instead of PhantomJS. Hopefully this will also easily enable private repositories as well.

Default zoom level is too high -- results use responsive CSS, unreadable PDFs

Hi,

this might be due to a recent code change on github, but I'm noticing that your default zoom level for this project is a bit too high, so the PDFs come out at like 150% zoom with stacked nav at the top and aren't very useful. Is this a change you'd want to make?

Enable private repositories

Currently it's not possible to render private repositories because phantom needs to input credentials. This is a request to add the ability to render private repositories the user has access to. They would input their credentials at the initial prompt (which would replace the need to get an access token.) and they would be used to login the phantom instance.
