verusdirectory's Introduction

VerusDirectory

This is a community-maintained list of resources for the Verus community. It is intended to be a quick way to find or re-find tools and information, to catalog receipts of what the Verus community has done, and provide a consolidated location for new community members that might like to deep-dive. Links and information appearing here are intended to be helpful, but should not be considered an endoresement by the owner or contributors of this repository. Everything in the Verus ecosystem is operated by independent community members.

Papers and Literature

  • Verus Vision Paper - Published in 2018 shortly after the mainnet Verus launch, the Vision Paper outlines the vision of the founders for what the community could build. The vision has been realized and all of the applications and use-cases discussed in the Vision Paper can now be built using features live in the Verus protocol on mainnet.
  • Proof of Power Paper - A paper detailing how the Verus consensus mechanism, Proof-of-Power (PoP), works and how it provides provable resistance to 51% hash attacks.
  • zk-SNARK Privacy and a Holistic Approach to ASICs Paper - A paper detailing the Verus approach to maintaining long-term decentralization and ASIC-resistance.
  • Building dApps at Any Scale - A booklet giving an overview of the functionality offered in the Verus protocol and how App developers interface with the blockchain via API (no smart contracts).

Price Aggregators and Verus Liquidity Pool Market Info

Exchanges

As a general rule, the Verus community values decentralization, self-custody, and permissionlessness. Exchanges listed here are not necessarily endorsed by any contributors to this wiki. Do not mine to an exchange address, you'll have a bad time and since you've been warned people aren't likely to bend over backwards to help. Don't store your coins on an exchange, the Verus community has had several bad experiences with exchanges getting hacked, rugpulled, or simply providing poor support, locking funds up for months or more.

  • The largest source of liquidity for VRSC is in on-chain liquidity baskets. The best path to take advantage of this is to bridge assets (like DAI, MKR, ETH) over to Verus from Ethereum and convert them into VRSC using the liquidity baskets.
  • SafeTrade
  • Trade Ogre
  • Komodo Wallet

Verus ID Tools

  • Verus ID Lookup Tool - Look up any Verus ID to see its properties. This tool also includes a renderer for the first fully decentralized, verifiable, on-chain social-media profiles in Verus IDs, which will automatically render if that content is present in the profile (look up Mike@ for an example).
  • Verus ID Signature Verification - Verify a Verus ID signature for messages, hashes, or files.
  • VerusIDs - Stats, info, and a great browser for on-chain marketplace transactions for Verus IDs.
  • VaultAlert - Look up the Verus Vault lock/unlock status of Verus IDs

Verus Blockchain Explorers

Verus Ethereum Bridge

  • Verus Ethereum Bridge Web Interface - Web interface for using MetaMask or similar Ethereum wallets with the Verus-Ethereum Bridge
  • Verus Ethereum Bridge Delegator Contract -
  • Bridgekeeper - Bridgekeeper is the software communication tool that enables Verus and the Ethereum smart contract partial implementation of the Verus Internet Protocol to communicate with eachother, exchainging network proof data and bundled transaction imports/exports. Solo miners and stakers can configure and run bridgekeeper for chances to be rewarded for submitting this data to the Verus network. Mining pool operators are encouraged to run bridgekeeper, and do so on behalf of their miners. Bridgekeeper is built into Verus Desktop.
  • The Verus Mobile wallet is the best user experience for utilizing the Verus-Ethereum bridge

Verus Testnet (vrsctest)

Branding/Marketing

  • Media Assets Repo - Branding information and assets, images for use in social and traditional media.
