Use CodeMirror for the text compose area

Would give us better tab handling (#2) and also optional markdown syntax highlighting.

Angular may breaks in main branch

When build the platen the script and run the app in Chrome browser . It will report:

What next?

Have you thought of Jekyll and/or Scriptogram support? I'd be glad to assist if I can, may need some pointers (but I grasp concepts quickly. As long as they're not about LESS or Sass) ;p

Cancel Button Causes Error

I don't have my credentials stored and if I click the sync button and then the cancel button without entering my password it still tries to sync to my blog.

Support Firefox too

I guess there's technically nothing that limits this to Chrome, except for packaged app support. When that lands in Firefox, that should be supported too.

All Posts Have admin As The Author

When I sync a post the author gets reset to the admin user. If I manually change it in the wp-admin interface it and then sync again from Platen it resets back to admin instead of my username.

Hitting publish in the metadata bar should automatically start a sync

Because why not?

Correct login parameters for self-hosted WP blog?

I can't seem to connect to my self-hosted Wordpress setup. I don't think there's anything wrong with XML-RPC or anything on it, because I can connect without any issues using the Blackberry OS7.1 WP app.

What could I be doing wrong? Sorry if this was asked before, I didn't see it

Add support for keyboard shortcuts

There could be two types of shortcuts supported: global and editor-specific. For global ones, the following features should be accessible:

• Open/Close settings panel
• Create new post
• Go to post list
• Sync to WP
• Open/Close metadata panel
• Get WP tags
• Get WP categories

Editor-specific shortcuts could include:

• text manipulation (bold, underline, italicize, emphasize)
• headers (at least the first 4)

Fails to connect to blog if blog url doesn't start with http://

Should either autodetect and add it, or validate more strictly.

Needs to handle tabs in the editing area

Hello! Tapping while writing a blog post seems to make it lose focus and go elsewhere, while I am guessing it would make sense to insert 4 spaces.

(Awesome tool, btw. I think this will finally help me get back to blogging actively :) )

Should strip formatting to show only simple text.

Background sync of drafts

Drafts should automatically keep getting synced in the background. Only for drafts - for published posts we can require the user to explicitly hit sync.

Needs better code documentation

I downloaded the code, in order to add password encryption using crypto.js, so that Platen could be my regular blog client. But the code is so much of a mess...It really needs better documentation.

Do not ship platen.js minified file in the git repo

Should be .gitignored, and then people can build it themselves.

This will avoid unnecessary merge conflicts too!

When there are no posts. Currently just empty.

Figure a way to fetch current drafts / posts from Wordpress

Highly problematic, because WP has them in HTML and we want Markdown. Conversion that way isn't really easy.

Sync to wordpress item not visible when metadata bar is open

This should be visible, since you usually want to hit publish and have it sync right after.

Currently is english only. We should use something like wikimedia/jquery.i18n :D + translatewiki.net to do translations?
