Hi, when you use the "whitelist" strategy, do not forget about it:

whitelist - Deny anything(access - 0 - deny), that not allowed by the ACL rules list

you will need to set access for the root folder too:

         ['disk' => 'public', 'path' => '/', 'access' => 1],                   // main folder - read
         ['disk' => 'public', 'path' => 'altena', 'access' => 1],           // read - user can't delete or rename folder
         ['disk' => 'public', 'path' => 'altena/*', 'access' => 2],       // read and write for all folders and files in "altena" folder
     ],

It works! I feel silly that i didn't think of the root folder..
