satisfactory-ini's Issues

Instructions for linux

On Linux, the ini files are located at:

~/.local/share/Steam/steamapps/compatdata//pfx/drive_c/users/steamuser/Local Settings/Application Data/FactoryGame/Saved/Config/WindowsNoEditor/

So, to apply the settings, one would do the following:

  1. Open a terminal.
  2. Type in the following:
    cd ~/.local/share/Steam/steamapps/compatdata
    cd 526870/pfx/drive_c/users/steamuser/Local\ Settings/Application\ Data/FactoryGame/Saved/Config/WindowsNoEditor/
    nano Engine.ini
The number in the second cd statement might be different for you. Just check if there is a Enging.ini and Game.ini in any of the directories. You can list the content of the directory with ls.
  3. Now change your settings as stated in the readme.
  4. Save with Ctrl S.
  5. Exit with Ctrl X.
  6. Repeat step 2 to 5 for Game.ini.

Other solutions for connection problems could be:

Your amended ini's for network lag improvement

I'm sure it's the way it's supposed to be, but I noticed that the min value on one of your changes (Game.ini mindynamicbandwidth) seemed to be exactly the same as the others except it was missing a zero at the end?
10485760 vs 104857600 on all the other changes
Was this a typo, or intentional as it of course makes a huge difference if a typo.
Thanks for posting this.
