Hello, is this project still alive?

I have developed a similar program in python and I'm interested about the methods this program uses.

How do the hiding algorithms work? Has it been tested if they affect the image's histogram in a significant way?

I'm asking these questions to gain a better understanding of the project and its future, as I'm interested in contributing (and probably also adapting this project's methods to use in my own program).
