xhsr's Introduction

xhsr is a utility for X that prints the id of the
root window of the screen on which the mouse cursor is.

This program requires libxcb to be installed.
In order to build this program you need to run `make`.

This program is free software; you can redistribute it
and/or modify it under the terms of the GNU General Public License
version 2 as published by the Free Software Foundation.

xdotool is a simple X tool that can do many many actions, one of them being xhsr,

however, what i really really suggest is to make a very simple alternative (much like xscreenshot and xhsr) - to slop
