APPLICATION IS CURRENTLY NOT WORKING

Hello good people, with the demise of Masterani a chapter is closed in our books too. Our application relied heavily on their service to provide our users with the experience we previously did. What does that mean for Monimo? It basically means we are refugees just like you. But while you are looking for a website, we are looking for a service that feeds us data, which we can use to bring our beloved application back to life. An announcment will be made when that happens. Till then, Sayonara mother*******s !

Idea

For people that love animes, there are not tons of great choices. Crunchyroll just sucks. Netflix selection sucks too. So what if we had something that offers a kick-ass experience with all the animes you can watch, for the awesome price of 0$ a month ?

Introducing MONIMO. The best application to watch your favorite animes in. It has all the features you would want. Continue where you left off, check out latest releases, next episode plays automatically, and most importantlly NO ADS!

It doesn't use torrents, but instead uses @masteranidotme API. That means if you are feeling nostalgic and just want to see Naruto's first episode, it will work. It also means the whole thing is very dependent on the wellbeing of @masteranidotme 🙌🏻

Bug: Not showing content

When I select high quality, on one anime, and go to other anime which doesn't have high quality. it shows that link was not found. But anime on medium quality is there. I think you should check if u don't have selected quality anime, browse to see if there is any other quality at all

[Feature] ability to use external sub files for other languages

the only supported sub lang is Eng some people like me likes to use custom languages so adding a sub file support would be nice!
also an Android App or a web version of this would be nice! watching on a smartphone or a tablet is always a thing!

Add keyboard and mouse shortcuts

It would be great to have shortcuts for the most common actions.
Using standard video players shortcuts such as:

Keyboard

Space: pause/unpause
Backspace: go back
Left: skip backwards
Right: skip forward
F: toggle fullscreen

Mouse

Left click anywhere on the screen: pause/unpause
Double left click anywhere on the screen: toggle fullscreen
Right click: context menu for advanced features

Opening Videos

I have just downloaded the app, and while it looks brilliant and seems to run smoothly I cannot open videos. I can enter the series page and see the list of episodes, but when I click on an episode to start playing, nothing happens.

I do occasionally get a dashed grey outline around the preview image but that is all.

Any suggestions?

Add Comedy Genre to the Genre bar at the top [Feature]

There was no comedy genre in the genre bar at the top.
Is that due to masteranime not having categorised the genre as comedy or something in the app.

9:10 video start

For any show it seems to only start at 9:10.

Add support for proxy

Would that be possible to add support for using a proxy ? It could be useful for people who need one to access internet. Thanks.

Fullscreen issues

Clicking anywhere on the screen takes you out of full screen. This includes when hitting the pause button and when changing the volume

No linux build for the last version

There's no linux build for the latest version, and when compiled from source, i get the following error:

Unhandled rejection Error: Cannot find latest-linux.yml in the latest release artifacts (https://github.com/altinselimi/monimo/releases/download/v0.2.4/latest-linux.yml): HttpError: 404 Not Found                                                                                                                     
"method: undefined url: https://github.com/altinselimi/monimo/releases/download/v0.2.4/latest-linux.yml\n\nPlease double check that your authentication token is correct. Due to security reasons actual status maybe not reported, but 404.\n"

The search doesn't work as well but i don't know if it's related. When i try to search i just get this:

Allow "auto-play next" to be disabled

It would be nice to have a way to disable "auto-play next" and just play the next episode manually if we want.

cant watch updated episodes

when i try to go to watch a updated anime of the FRESH OFF THE OVEN it does not allow me to even see the previous episodes and or the new ones. the screen just goes gray and stay like that. please do fix this the app is amazing and i want it to sat amazing.

Unable to change the time-point of video progress bar at the bottom

When watching an episode, I am unable to click on the video progress bar at the bottom and hence cannot change the time-point of the episode.
I am able to click on all the option on the top right (changing video source, quality, fullscreen mode)
I can also click the play button on the left of the video progress bar and the mute button on the right.
Occasionally, when spam clicking the video progress bar it would register one of the clicks and the video progress is moved. However, this is difficult to replicate and does not occur often.

Feature Request - Skip back 10 seconds

I think it'd be a great idea to implement a feature like this, similar to most players on popular streaming sites. Sometimes I'm not always fully paying attention and find that I want to skip back a bit like I can on 9anime or the like, but I can't. Anyway it would be good to have the skip maybe linked to an arrow key press or a button? Thanks!

Fullscreen breaks scrolling

Open a show and enter fullscreen.
Hit the back button in the top left.
Scrolling will no longer work and requires a restart

Discord rich presence support

would be cool to have an official rich presence support for discord.

5 blank rectangles, categories does nothing

This issue has been reported on the Reddit thread, but it still persists here.

OS is Windows 8.1.

Attack On Titan S3 episodes missing

[Feature] AniList Integration

This could enable anime tracking for AniList users using the application. Furthermore, we could also then gain a bigger audience for this application through the AniList after implementing this feature.

If nothing similar is being worked on, I would be happy to contribute.

No Thumbnails in Continue Watching

After the new update, for some reason all of the thumbnails in my Continue Watching area are blank. It's weird as it's only that area, and if I search for shows individually, their thumbnails aren't missing

Package for Linux

Best fit for this type of app is Appimage, will work on all distributions out of the box, and the user can still install it. Make it also available from the site.
