next3-utils's Introduction

NEXT3(TM) is a flavor of the widely used Ext3 file system with built-in support for snapshots. 
Developed by CTERA Networks, NEXT3 is licensed under the GPL.

This package contains a standalone ext4dev module with NEXT3 snaphsots support.
It is available for download on the NEXT3 project download page [http://next3.sourceforge.net/files/].

The package consists of the following files:
README - This file.
Makefile - Download, build, install and test ext4dev kernel module and utils.
docs/COPYING - GPL License.
docs/CHANGELOG - Release notes.
docs/INSTALL - Build and install instructions.
docs/HOWTO - Getting started with snapshots.
docs/BUGS - Open issues.
bin/snapshot.ext4dev - snapshots management script.
bin/{fsck,mkfs,tunefs,lsattr/chattr}.ext4dev - Pre-compiled (for x86_64) e2fsprogs utils with snapshot support patches.
