A CFW for the 3DS.

CakesFW

This is homebrew software for the Nintendo 3DS™ that assists with patching the system's NATIVE_FIRM, thereby allowing it to perform unsanctioned operations.

Building

A total of three (3) components are required: Python 3.x with PyYAML, devkitARM, and armips.
Ensure that the required cross compilers (arm-none-eabi-*), armips, and python3 directories are included in your $PATH system variable.
Once the environment is configured, run the make command.

Update for 11.16 native_firm

11.16 had a new native_firm. No new games came out after 11.16, so everything will work perfectly fine using a 11.14 firm, but I'd like to support 11.16 eventually. I don't care enough right now, but if somebody wants it (@thaikhoa?), I'll take the time to do it.

I'd like to eventually direct people to extract native_firm from their nand instead of downloading the files from Nintendo's servers (or even better, automatically fetch it from nand on first boot), but for that, every firmware version needs to be supported.

Update for 11.14 native_firm (?)

May need to be updated to support 11.14 native_firm. Not super interested in spending time on that right now, though, but it'll be done at some point.

For the time being, a 11.12 native_firm may work fine even on 11.14 firmware. It's unlikely that anything absolutely requires a 11.14 native_firm (games or otherwise), but I can't guarantee anything.
