anchor-translations's Issues

"Extend" on spanish translation

Hi everyone,
I trying to complete the spanish translation. But I have a doubt about "extend".

In spanish, "extend" is "extendido" o "ampliado". But, in "extend" is where Anchor has its configuration. Perhaps, a better translation is "configuración" (configuration).

Don't you think?

Regards, Iván

Much Pull Requests - - Many Contribution

There are so much pull requests waiting to be added in or closed. It kind of makes me sad seeing nothing being done with all the contribution. If the Anchor team doesn't have time to figure out what to do with them, I'm happy to help.

Plural and singular for labels on comments and pages

The status on pages and comments are referred to in the same grammatical number both in the sidebar and per single item as explained in the image below:
Plural and singular

I suggest adding a plural/singular version of the different statuses beyond what is currently available.

pt_PT Grammar and Spelling Mistakes.

I tried to create a new pull request but seems its disabled at the moment. Below are some things I spotted that are not Portuguese (pt_PT) or are grammatically wrong.

comments.php

  1. 'nocomments_desc' should be 'Sem comentários', the current translates to "No comments yet.", the new translates to "No comments".

global.php

  1. 'save' should be 'Guardar', the current translates to "Record", the new translates to "save"
  2. 'editing' should be 'Editando', the current is correct but why have to words when you can have one?
  3. 'inactive' should be 'Inativo', the current is not Portuguese but Spanish.
  4. 'active' should be 'Ativo', the current is not Portuguese but Spanish.

I hope this helps.

es_ES spelling mistake

Hello,

inside the Spanish 'es_ES' folder, on 'global.php' this line:

'approved' => 'Aprovado' needs to be replaced by 'approved' => 'Aprobado' in order to fix this spelling error.

Regards,

Daniel.

How can I add a new translation?

  1. I try add a new pull request on this page, as is requested in the manual. But after click on this button:

image

I see this screen with inactive button.

  1. In other hand I try make commit (success) and and post (error) my changes (new folder cs_CZ with translated files) in Atlasian SourceTree app (ver 1.620.0 windows). I see this error.

git -c diff.mnemonicprefix=false -c core.quotepath=false push -v --tags origin master:master remote: Permission to anchorcms/anchor-translations.git denied to cebreus. fatal: unable to access 'https://github.com/anchorcms/anchor-translations/': The requested URL returned error: 403

Keeping translations up to date

We don't really have a way of tracking if issues are up to date. If the English translation in the core gets updated, the only way to get the translations updated here is... There isn't any, really.

I propose: ... Two branches, one Master and one 0.9 dev. Translations inside corresponding to the version for Anchor. In every translation is a text file, naming contributors, for which Anchor version, date it was last updated, and maybe more. In the root is also a text file like it, telling when the core of this version was last updated, maybe even where, for easy updating of the translations. This file is always up to date, being updated by the person that merged the pull-request that needed a translations update in the core.

I think this is a good idea, making Anchor translations of a higher quality, without requiring a lot of work. Let me know what you think.
