iPlayTV AIO Bug Tracker 🐞

Hey! Here's a helpful little bug tracker for known issues with iPlayTV All In One, so if you have a bug to report you can check the “Issues” tab up above to see if it's already been reported. I'm just one guy working on this so I can't promise I'll be able to fix the bug in a report instantly, but I do really want to know about the bugs so I can fix them as soon as I can!

How do I report a bug?

To create a report, you'll need a GitHub account, which is super fast (and free) to do.

Then, go to the “Issues” tab at the top, then select “New Issue” and simply fill in the form. Please make sure you include as much of the requested information as possible, it helps me out a ton! Please be polite in the discussions as well.

How do I find out if my bug has already been reported?

Go to the “Issues” tab at the top, and there's a search bar at the top so you can search to see if it's already been submitted. If not, report away! If it has been reported though feel free to add more information to the discussion, or you can tap the + button with the smiley to vote on it to indicate it affects you too.

What can I do to help if the bug I'm having an issue with has already been reported?

A massive part of solving a bug is just about reproducing it, which just means being able to consistently make it happen. If I can't make it happen, it's super hard to solve! So if you can make it happen and try to figure out the steps that always make it happen, please post those as a comment on the discussion, it'll help so much!

Why do I need to sign up for an account here?

GitHub's an awesome site that's really well-suited for bug tracking. It'll keep things more organized than having bug bug discussions. Having to sign up for an account is super quick though and helps cut down on spam, so it's worth it, trust me! Sign Up

Can I participate in discussions here?

Of course! But please try to stay on topic to the specific bug report, so contribute if you feel you can add extra information. If you just want to say "me too", use the + button with the smiley on a comment to indicate your reaction rather than creating another comment. This is unfortunately also not the place for off-topic conversation or memes. Also please try to be nice here within the discussions. :)

Can't switch icon

Describe the bug
I can't change from dark to light icon.
Changing from menu is OK, but can't see the change on my springboard.

When searching for subtitle pause the video

On the Apple TV version when you play a movie and opens the subtitles search menu, it pause the video which is great, on the iOS version the video keeps playing in the background.

Make RTL support for Hebrew and Arabic

Describe the bug
Not super urgent but would be great to have RTL support for movies description

Sounds keeps playing when closing the app or locking the device

Describe the bug
Streaming sounds keeps playing when leaving / closing the app or locking the device.
Only way to stop is closing the stream before leaving or force closing the app

Lock app doesn’t work

Describe the bug
I marked lock app on startup but it does nothing

Do not allow modify url while it’s loading

Describe the bug
While the url is loading for the first time (new EPG or new channels) while the loading screen appears it is possible the remove the url or modify it

Steps to reproduce the behavior:

1. Go to Settings
2. Click on Guide sources
3. Click on via remote URL
4. Add this url: https://guidexl.tv4.live/
5. While it’s loading the url you can still modify it

Sync between devices doesn’t work

Describe the bug
Added a service on my iPhone but it doesn’t show up on my iPad.

I checked and pro features opened on both phone and iPad. On iPad the library is empty.

AirPlay2 support

Describe the feature
App should allow to AirPlay content

Cast & Crew bar, in movie/ series details screen should link to IMDb.com

When clicking on the picture/ name of an actor, producer or director the app should open IMDb.com with the right page with details of the person

Notifications of new content

Describe the feature
Notifications of new content in playlist.

Additional context
Possibility to subscribe to changes in playlist(s).

Options to consider:
Full list

• new channel
• new movie
• new tv show

Per channel category

• new channel

Per movie category

• new movie

Per tv show category

• new tv show
• new episode (season but might be indirectly understood)

New episode per tv show

• new episode
  This means that each tv show has a 'local' notification option that is only valid for that specific tv show

All could also be reversed to "removed" but might not be of interest. Also assuming that any change in playlist is done by a remove/add (if different ID).

New proposal to add a notification a week prior to the subscription expires.

Add Siri support

Add basic Siri support to search or open an channel by name

Choose epg priority

If we add 2 epg sources make it possible to choose which one has priority.
Like you did with the picons.

Keyboard layouts throughout the app

Describe the feature
Change the keyboard layout:

1. when creating favorites group use the keyboard layout with auto-correct
2. when editing the stream sources use standard keyboard layout to allow the space bar to correctly position the cursor

Add entire groups to favorites

Describe the feature
There should be an option to add an entire group of channels to favorites, instead of having to select one by one

Could also be done by allowing a "select all channels from this group" when in selection mode

App crashes when changing sub language

Describe the bug
App crashed when changed sub language. Started a TV show and set sub language, which worked well. Subs came up as expected. Went in and changed to another language and the app crashed and I ended up in the Home Screen. Tried the same process a few times and the same things happen. I was able to change sub language between 1-3 times before the app quit.

2. Click on 'sub langue'

Group shorting

The folders are only sorted alphabetically. Please add the option to allow the playlist sorting

Swipe gestures when playing

Describe the feature
When watching TV channels, you have to close/minimize the video to be able to change channel. Instead of this, the TV guide should be able to be reached by swiping (from left side the right?) so that you can change channel without exiting the video playing.

Add subscription details to xtream codes sources

Swipe for next/previous channel

When watching live tv, a swipe to the right and left changes the channel.

Adding a group favorites / item order not respected

Describe the bug
When adding an entire group to Favorites the original order of the channels in the playlist is not respected

By the way, selecting an entire group is not intuitive. You need to select 1 item, to enter selection mode, then unselect it to get the select all option

Tv guide

Please add a standard TV guide screen that shows the channels’ full schedule similar to the appletv version

Auto add EPG (from m3u)

Describe the feature
When adding a Stream Source a Guide Source is added automatically.

EPG timeshift function does not shift correctly

It looks like my provider has the EPG time set to UTC. I need to shift with +2h for getting my current timezone.

When doing this in account settings and set the value to +2h, the EPG shifts with a different amount of time then specified.

Tap hold on channel takes a few sec to open the menu

Describe the bug
Device: iPhone 12 Pro
When I tap and hold on a channel to bring up the menu, the menu doesn’t show up immediately it takes 1+ sec

1. Go to channel
2. Tap and hold on channel
3. Menu will open after 1+ sec

PiP - not working outside of app..

PiP will not work outside of the app.

Start PiP and then when moving outside of app it closes down.

I would think that if I went to browser or email (for example) I would still have PiP for iPlay TV to remain.

I sent you a private message on discord but I think you haven't seen it, My problem is that when I subscribe to iplaytv pro, EPG movies bug but when I do not subscribe everything works perfectly I send you screenshot here

Home bar visible in full screen

In fullscreen mode, the home bar is still visible on both IpadOS and iOS.

The home bar should be hidden/non visible after 1-2 sec. This is the case in every other video playing apps (youtube, netflix etc)

Screen Sharing

Screen Sharing Option not Available

Do not see the option to share to screen - is this on radar, or am I missing it?

Sign in with Apple ID on first use

Describe the bug

When opening the app for the very first time I'm granted with a pop-up window asking to "Sign in with Apple ID". It's probably trying to check whether there is a PRO signature already or not, but it should only be checked when actually trying to access a PRO feature or when accessing the Settings/PRO menu.

I don't know why I am being asked about my Apple SignIn without even being able to explore the app before.

If I select cancel, then every now and then it comes back again.

Subscription info is lost

A subscription has been completed. The information about it will be lost and you will have to make a new subscription. Then the saved favorites will appear again.

[Improvement] Adding keyboard Passwords integration

Adding keyboard "Passwords" integration for iCloud login.

Mark items as not new

Describe the feature
As an user i want to manually mark item as not new.

Playlist Already in Use

Some provider allows the playlist to be used by one persone at the time.

Because of that, if same playlist is used at home on the Apple TV and on the go on the iPhone, a simultaneous stream can take place. The provider can so idle its view.

What to implement:
A message or an indication somewhere or somehow in the app to let users know that the playlist is already in use.

Deleting playlist is slow

App crashing when exiting TV Show

Describe the bug
App crashed when exiting a TV Show. This happened two times in a row. Previous I've been able to exit both shows, channels and movies. So not really repeatable.

Tried a couple o more times. Channels and movies seem to work to exit as expected. Went back to tv shows and it works as expected until it happened again.

1. Go to 'go to tv shows and play (any episode) stream'
2. Click on 'X to exit stream'

Surprise screen on startup

Describe the bug
When I open the app after no use, I see some fireworks.. not sure if it’s a bug or not but wouldn’t want to see it every time I open the app

Swipe gestures

Describe the feature
Swipe gestures should be enabled for speeding up channels actions.
In library:
swiping right could give the options to Add to favorites / hide
Swiping left could give the options to mark as watch/unwatched in movies and open archive/open guide info in channels
In favorites:
Swipe right to remove from favorites
Swipe left the same as in library

Additional context
Gestures like we normally have on any app using lists (like the mail app)

Implement swipe gestures in player to zap to previous/next channel as in tvOS app

iCloud sync - new items

The iCloud synchronization now works. I found one issue though. the categories new movies, shows etc are showing on my iPhone app under the library tab but not on the iPad app.

[Minor bug] Auto Paste (url) - Already existing stream ‘page’

Describe the bug
I added a playlist and got the auto paste of the m3u which was great. When it was added and I went into that streams 'page' I was prompted with the auto paste question again. I however can't see where text is supposed to be pasted. I guess that the url can be changed there.

Expected behavior
Did not expect to auto paste when an existing url is already filled in. Expected nothing actually when entering that stream page, just view the fields.

Wrong group name

On the Alpha version, I have a folder called “TV” and it gets changed to “Tuvalu”

No Catchup / Replay for channels

No catchup / replay information is displayed in the live channels. Even if a subscription has been completed.

Update interval page has extra elements

Sometimes it shows fine, like this:

Refresh option needed in the player

Describe the feature
When the stream freezes both is iPIP or full screen, there is no option to quickly reload/refresh so it requires you to go back to library/favorites and find the channels you're watching to be able to select it again to refresh.
A simple button/toggle to refresh the stream would make it easier without interrupting what you're doing
