rk3066-kernel's Issues

How to isolate your patch?

Can you please provide a link, where I can download an original source code of kernel, which you started development with? I want to see your isolated changes as a patch in order to apply it to new kernel (maybe just try)

mk808b

hello!
I try to run linux on an old mk808b with mediatek wifi.
the kernel from 0.3 boots, kind of... freezes after two seconds of the scrolling letters.
When I compile it myself I see nothing, just the two penguins and soon a reboot to android...
Any hints to make it work?

RK30-RKSDK-3066 VPU Needs headers and source

I've checked on the RK29 sdk but it looks like the provided ones are too old or different.

It currently wont build with the VPU enabled.

Everything else is fine, I shall be pushing my fixes for getting it to compile soon.

emulation failure

I try to emulate this kernel with qemu but in the final i have only a black screen. i think that QEMU does not emulate rk3066 so what emulator do i use ?
thanks to help me

Wont compile on GCC

Wont compile on GCC:

make ARCH=arm
  CHK include/linux/version.h
  CHK include/generated/utsrelease.h
make[1]: `include/generated/mach-types.h' is up to date.
  CC kernel/bounds.s
gcc: error: unrecognized command line option ‘-mlittle-endian’
gcc: error: unrecognized command line option ‘-mapcs’
gcc: error: unrecognized command line option ‘-mno-sched-prolog’
gcc: error: unrecognized argument in option ‘-mabi=aapcs-linux’
gcc: note: valid arguments to ‘-mabi=’ are: ms sysv
gcc: error: unrecognized command line option ‘-mno-thumb-interwork’
make[1]: *** [kernel/bounds.s] Error 1
make: *** [prepare0] Error 2

I've done the configuration already, but continue getting these errors, I followed the readme file.

Any help would be appreciated.
