qgis-resources's Issues

Problems with applying qml to osm spatiatialite-layers

I've downloaded osm data and converted it to spatialite-layers with qgis 2.18.11. - build-in vector-openstreetmap-plugin.

Importing your various styles to the point/polygon/line-layers gave every time the error
"unexpected character in line 42 column 91"

grafik

What may be wrong ?

Problem loading QML files

Please, disconsider this report. I've had access to a corrupted qml file while downloading. Sorry for the inconvenience.

Issue with qml files

Hi Anita, I follow all the steps till the last one. I have downloaded your qml files but when I want to upload the qml file for the multipolygons, I have an error message : "unexpected character at line 50 column 71.

Do you know where the issue come from ?

I use Qgis 2.12.3 and my OSM datas are in a Spatialite database as you described in your article.

There is the same problem with the lines layer.

Deprecated Fields in Styles

In the style definition "roadshields" there are several refrences to deprecated fields like "other_tags" which are responsible for labeling, background, colours. Therefore the style works not as expected.
The former content seems to be now stored in the fields "ref", "nat_ref", "int_ref".

How to using *.qml file

QGIS version: 3.34.3-Prizren
OS: Trisquel 11.0 Aramo

I was read this guide, but it too rough, I can't follow the steps successfully.

after running ogr2ogr -f "SQLite" -dsco SPATIALITE=YES output.db input.osm, move "output.db" into QGIS window, and click button "Add Layers", layers "points, multilinestrings, lines, multipolygons" are single color.

Clicked Toolbar Select by Expression 'waterway'='riverbank', and click button "Select Features", show message "No matching features found" in view.

Clicked Menubar Setting->Style Manager->Import / Export->Import Item(s)->click three dots browse file, it only accept XML file, not QML file.

Problem with labels

From QGIS 2.12 +, the labelling has changed and the current QML files are not supported any more.

Problems with qml Files for OSM Data of Germany NRW

Hi Anita, I follow all the steps in your article.I have downloaded your qml files and used them to style my QGIS OSM Project of Germany NRW.
I cannot see all of the buildings (just churches) and it seems that the style of other objects also are in trouble.
I have downloaded the pbf file for Germany NRW from the Geofabrik Web Site and stored them with ogr2ogr in a spatialite database.

With downloaded pbf file for Rheinland Pfalz the Styling is OK.

Is there a difference between OSM Data of the german regions ?

I use Qgis 2.12.3, 2.14 and 2.8 LT.

styles

Hi,

I'm trying to import styles from https://github.com/anitagraser/QGIS-resources/blob/master/symbols/osm_symbols.xml with QGIS 2.0.1 (Ubuntu 14.04). I'm using the QGIS style manager and I got this error: 'An error occured during import:
Unable to understand the style file: .../osm_symbols.xml'

Could you tell me if there is any other way to do this?
It would be nice to add this information at the read.me file.

Best,
Marcos
