Sorry for this new request. I seem unable to find a way to rotate my images in the storyboard. I have images in a book that needs to be rotated 90° clockwise, any idea if I should edit the parameter in the manifest or in the annotation manually?
Thank you again.
Elisa
First of all, thanks a lot for your work!
In the first tabbed section of https://annonatate.herokuapp.com, I pulled in manuscript images from the National Library of Wales using this manifest: https://damsssl.llgc.org.uk/iiif/2.0/4654784/manifest.json
Loading the images worked like a charm and links were provided to individual manuscript pages, but the thumbnail images for these links were missing, as you can see in this screenshot:
It also occurred to me that in the case of navigation being used for browsing multiple images, it would be more user-friendly to keep it expanded. The situation right now is that every time you click to see a new manuscript pages, the navigation returns to its collapsed state.
Hello,
I have been using Annonatate and I am trying to upload existing annotation data that was created with a different tool. The annotation data was created with a viewer from this site: https://dzkimgs.l.u-tokyo.ac.jp/utlib_kakouzou/045_2/0002&lang=&?bxbk=045_2&pg=0002&lang=”, and it was exported from the local storage of Chrome in JSON format. The content of the annotation is in Japanese.
However, after uploading the data, I do not see any changes in Annonatate. I noticed that the annotations created by Annonatate in the GitHub repository are written in Japanese using Unicode escape sequences, while the annotations I am trying to upload are in plain Japanese.
Here are the steps I followed:
Exported the existing annotation data (in JSON format) from the local storage of Chrome.
Selected ‘Add file’ -> ‘Upload files’ in the GitHub repository.
Chose the file to upload.
Added a commit message and clicked on ‘Commit changes’.
Despite these steps, I do not see any changes in Annonatate. I could not find any information about this in the official help documentation.
Is it possible to upload existing annotation data in Annonatate? If so, could you please guide me through the process?
Thank you for your assistance.
Hi, sorry to bother. I have created my annonatate repo last year, now it seem to be out of date and I am unsure if this is the cause, but when I click "login" on the herokuapp page I often get internal error or error 500. Any hints on how to properly update my code?
Best regards
Elisa
Hey!
Would love to play with this—really nice work. Wonder if it's possible to review the permissions it's asking for on Github? They're pretty extensive, and I'm not really supposed to give full permissions for all of Getty's repos to third party apps like this.
Thanks!
Hi! I am unsure if the problem is in annonatate or in our manifests, so I am reporting.
When loading a v.3 manifest of a book the thumbnails of pages are very slow at loading, cause an extreme load on our server and most of the time won't be visible at all. Also, annotations taken on images with v.3 manifest fail to load on the annotation list and are only visible as storyboard. When accessing the same images with a v. 2.1 I can see all the thumbnails immediately.
Here are is an example:
I am having hard time to find v.3 files in the web to compare, so let me know if our files are completely broken ;)
Best regards
Lila
