Overview

This project contains open hardware design files for an experimental platform built around Xilinx Kintex-7 FPGA. The main purpose of this platform is to develop and customize RAM controllers supporting DIMM DDR5 RAM modules used in data centers. The design files were prepared in KiCad.

Project structure

The main directory contains KiCad PCB project files, a LICENSE and README. The remaining files are stored in the following directories:

  • lib - contains the component libraries
  • img - contains graphics for this README
  • doc - contains schematics and block diagrams

Can't find Kintex-7 FPGA - XC7K100T-FBG686

Hello,

Thank you for your work and for sharing this project.

I am currently working on my master thesis regarding DRAM row hammering and am interested in using your DDR5-tester.

I have trouble finding the XC7K100T-FBG686 FPGA.

Could you advise me on this matter. Would you have possibly meant the 160 variant instead?

I am looking forward to your reply.

component sourcing difficult / out of stock component to build

Hello!

First of all, thank for this project and work, more importantly thanks for sharing it!
I am not an hw engineer, but trying to build it using PCB service to learn and hopefully be able to experiment/learn with it:

I have several component that are difficult / or seems impossible to source from the BOM:
U1, U2, U3, U4: TI / TPS62823DLCT
U9: Microchip / KSZ9031RNXCA
U11: CYPRESS SEMICONDUCTOR / S27KL0641DABHI023
U13: Abracon / ASFLMB-100.000MHZ-XY-T

I am not sure what alternative could be used, especially for the Xillinx FPGA, would you have any suggestions?
