c_char can be i8 or u8 - conflicting impls of variant::ToArg

Building gdbus-rs on armv7-unknown-linux-gnueabihf, I get this error:

error[E0119]: conflicting implementations of trait variant::ToArg for type u8:
...
49 | impl ToArg for $c_type {
...
306 | impl ToArg for c_char {

From grepping around in libc-0.2.21, c_char is defined as i8 on 14 platforms and u8 on 11 platforms, so really gdbus-rs needs to accept either definition.

Current state / release?

Hello, I was wondering in what state this currently is in (alpha, beta, worksforme, etc.) and if you would be willing to release it and add it to https://crates.io/ ?
