TelloDesk aims to provide a comfortable desktop environment for flying the Tello mini drone from a Windows or Linux desktop or laptop computer. You will need a supported controller and a Wifi connection to the Tello.

TelloDesk flight tracker

TelloDesk has been tested on Windows and Linux, and may run on MacOS.

Changes compared to upstream

  • Added sound recording as part of video recording
    • Uses default microphone on your PC
    • Known issue: audio is not synced with video and progressively gets out of sync with each lost video frame
    • To avoid desync, create multiple recordings of shorter duration
  • Optimized for Steam Deck
    • Install using flatpak - build using this manifest
    • Use default gamepad mapping in game mode (optionally enable gyro)
    • Select Steam Deck gamepad in settings
