Installation steps

  • Load project into the IDE
  • Load all the maven dependencies using pom.xml
  • Configure the Tomcat and mysql server and make sure they are running
  • Edit the context.xml file in src/main/webapp/metainf director for configuring mysql to the application
  • Run the scrath.sql file. It will create a skeleton and constructs required database ,tables and autopilates with dummy data for the application to work.
  • Start the server and deploy and run the home.jsp page( its the starting page of the appliy, if not automatically configured in the Tomcat server).
  • web application should be running in the web browser
