aoe_dbretry's Issues

Add alerts if things get out of control

Would you be interested in adding in something to send alerts if things start failing a lot? Perhaps there is an admin interface (or even configuration node) for a threshold of number of time the retry failed altogether in an hour (haven't fully though through the architecture). We have a situation where this is a requirement so I'm trying to determine this is a change that you would incorporate upstream or it should be handled through a rewrite on our end. If you'd be interested I could prep a PR.

Not working on 1.9

Strange, that config.xml rewrite for pdo_mysql is not working on 1.9.

To make it work, you can simply edit the app/etc/config.xml and under pdo_mysql put same classes as in app/code/community/Aoe/DbRetry/etc/config.xml

Reindexing issue

I just wanted to share that I had big reindexing issues after the installation of this extension. All indexes always required reindexing. I removed the extension and everything worked fine.

Magento 2 module

Hello,

Do you guys plan on making this module for magento 2 ?

Not correct

I think this is not correct, but maybe I missed something....
When a transaction failed and gets rolled back, you just retry the query that failed, not the whole transaction.... It could lead to serious integrity problems, don't you think ?
