YARP heartbeat message

I require a method to discover new nodes in the network and detect if they are alive. This either requires a new bit in the YARP header. An other possibility would be to use Q=0 R=0 H=1 and put the hardware id in the body.

The recipient of the heartbeat would be 0xFF and LOW priority.

Documentation on physical layer?

Hi,

I am working on a uC board (for either the STM32F072C8 or the STM32F042C4) with on board CAN transceiver and would like to provide the necessary connections in order to be able to connect to a uCAN network besides my own connector.

Unfortunately I was not able to find any good documentation on the physical layer, i.e. the stuff I need to know in order to build compatible hardware.
Is there any available?

From the schematics I can tell that:

• Pin1 is CANH
• Pin2 is CANL
• Pin4/5 are VCC
• Pin7/8 are GND

But what is the maximum VCC at the Injector? What is the maximum voltage drop over the wires that one should account for?

Also I haven't been able to quite figure out what PIN3 and PIN6 are meant for.

Maybe you can add this information to the uCAN repository.

Hardware address prefix for NXP LPC11C24

I'm making a PoC for a uCAN based communication protocol between lpc 11c24 mcu's. These devices have a unique 32-bit serial. Is it possible to allocate a prefix for these devices? Like for the microchip UID devices? For example 00:00:02/24
