Shiritori (しりとり) is a Japanese word game in which the players are required to say a word which begins with the final kana of the previous word. No distinction is made between hiragana, katakana or kanji. "Shiritori" literally means "taking the end" or "taking the rear".

Requirements

To run this application you will need following programms installed

Node.js
npm

You can download it from here

Running

After cloning this repository to your computer go to the project folder

cd /path/to/Shiritori

And run on of the following files

run.sh
run.bat

depending on what operating system you use.

After that you can use your browser to connect to the server on

localhost:8080

Playing

To start playing you need to enter your name in the top right corner and then join on of the existing rooms or create a new one. After joining the game wait for host to start the game or start it yourself if you are the host. Wait for your turn to type in a word according to the rules of shiritori (if you don't know the rules, click the "Rules" button in the top left corner)
