psnovatranslations's Issues

Search Team Descriptions

Due to the text limits imposed on most descriptions and flavor text boxes, I've decided to actually do something useful with the search team quest descriptions. Instead of translating the flavor text itself, I will use that space to show what items you can potentially get from a successful dispatch on that quest.

This information can be found inside of the SearchCorps.csv file. This file contains the rewards that each quest will give out in the typical item ID format. It'll just be a matter of cross-referencing the item ID in the CSV with the item name in the RMD. This can be done by referring to column 9 in item_general.csv to get the RMD ID to the item name.

Instead of doing this manually for over 100 entries, I'll just write a tool to do it.

Crew Effects

So I've personally done a bunch of these already since they are extremely important by mid/end game for properly assigning your crew and taking advantage of their bonuses both at facilities and within your party. I could use some help tackling some of the more difficult ones and checking the ones that have already been done. While I've done my best to look up everything and check against our existing terminology for consistency, that doesn't mean they're correct by any means, since I'm not really a translator.

I would personally put these at the same importance level as item names or affix effects because they are an integeral part of the long-term gameplay and being able to play effectively.

Building source?

Any possibility this repo could include the necessary info for making a build for testing?

Build from source

Can somebody post a working discord link so I can figure out how to build the translation from source. The discord link I found had expired.

Thanks

Change Magnas -> Magnus (マグナス)

Magnas is a mistranslation IMO. There is precedent for マグナス being translated to Magnus in other games, for instance:

Ogre Battle 64: Magnus Gallant (マグナス・ガラント)
Tales of Destiny: Leon Magnus (リオン・マグナス)

as well as Magnus once being a commonly used Latin name meaning "Great".

Agreed?

Building fron source

Could anybody please point us in the right direction please to how to build this for vita
