@runner is nil

Hi,
I followed the tutorial here https://arlimus.github.io/articles/custom.resource.types.in.serverspec/
But I'm unable to add my custom resource type. The @runner is nil for me. Any clues what is the issue?

Here is my code:
application.rb

module Serverspec::Type
  class Application < Base

    def initialize(app_name)
      @name = app_name
    end

    def version
      command = "defaults read  /Applications/Google\ Chrome.app/Contents/Info.plist CFBundleShortVersionString"
      begin
        return command_result(command).stdout
      rescue Exception => e
        puts e
      end
      # command_result(command).stdout
    end

    def content
      "Hello World"
    end

    private
    def command_result(command)
      @command_result ||= @runner.run_command(command)
    end
  end

  def application(app_name)
    Application.new(app_name)
  end
end

include Serverspec::Type

In spec, I'm using it like this:

describe application("Google Chrome") do
  its(:version) { should eq "83.0.4103.61" }
end

This is the error I'm getting

  1) Application "Google Chrome" version
     Failure/Error: @command_result ||= @runner.run_command(command)
     NoMethodError:
       undefined method `run_command' for nil:NilClass
