git pull commands fail

many of the "git pull" commands in the update.sh scripts are being executed from the wrong folder, hence i am seeing this:

linaro@linaro-alip:~/Documents/aws-iot-device-sdk/scripts$ ./update.sh
Already up-to-date.
fatal: Not a git repository (or any of the parent directories): .git
fatal: Not a git repository (or any of the parent directories): .git
fatal: Not a git repository (or any of the parent directories): .git
fatal: Not a git repository (or any of the parent directories): .git

when running ./update.sh if the trees already exist.

i would recommend you use git modules , or a repo manifest to manage all git trees.

Missing instruction to clone the git tree initially

Nowhere in the instructions, we say where to clone this git tree, yet, the script assumes it must be done in $HOME/Documents.

We should add instructions to clone this tree, but we should remove the hard coded dependency on $HOME/Documents..
