How to combine AHTabBarController with Navigation controllers

Hi All
I'd like to use AHTabBarController with multiple navigations controllers, basically one navigation controller per top level tab.
Sub tabs, when clicked should be able to push a new view controller to the navigation controller of the current selected tab.
I'm not using storyboards, I then used the branch where we can set the view controller using viewControllerForSubItem function.
Any advise to be able to do the above would be appreciated.

Is it possible to modify the navigation bar items?

Currently I have the initialization of the tab bar items in my AppDelegate. Let's say I navigate to a certain tab by clicking on it. Is it possible to change the navigation bar items? Is there a way to do it without putting it all in the AppDelegate?

Usage in multiple Storyboard apps : A Question

For multiple storyboards, I really like your ToDo: "Instead of setting the StoryboardID of a viewcontroller add the possibility to add the viewcontroller directly to the tab."

If TabBarController reloadViewForItem:(AHSubitemView *)subitem is modified, would this be sufficient, or would something else break?
