I'm happy to implement this. However, could you clarify the desired behaviour. In particular, how does this differ from the behaviour of containsSubsequence? (See ~line 140 of https://github.com/joel-costigliola/assertj-core/blob/master/src/main/java/org/assertj/core/api/ObjectEnumerableAssert.java)

You are damn right, containsSubsequence has been added after this issue has been created and at the time I haven't realised it.

No problem! I noticed there wasn't a test for the public API method, which is perhaps why it got missed before. I've added a test in #305 to help make it more discoverable.
