Thanks for making this proof of concept. This functionality still isn't in Kinetic, and your code remains the only implementation of this sort of feature.

I know it has been two years since you worked on this, but I wondered if you had any tips on how to go about making this compatible with the latest version of KineticJS. As things are, I get no errors, but events don't seem to fire.
