Meta / Contributing

Formatting, linting and type-checking

You can simply install pre-commit (pip install pre-commit) and run it (pre-commit run) to lint, type-check, and automatically format all files.

Autofixable issues will automatically be resolved when creating a pull-request.

Format on save

To automatically format on save using the Visual Studio Code editor, make sure to install all recommended extensions in .vscode/extensions.json. You should also install dprint and our python dev dependencies (pip install -r ".\Dolphin scripts\requirements-dev.txt")

Dolphin PC texture pack: Make a GUI application

Simple app with input field + button to force a correct path selection and a log window

Tool to replace LOD textures by higher res version in finished pack

In the "PC Dolphin texture pack tool". LOD (Level of Details, aka lower resolution) textures are simply skipped for now. I wanna make a different tool that replaces LOD textures by their higher res version for completed texture packs.

Dolphin PC texture pack: Make it a resource pack

Output a resource pack instead of just dumping all the textures for a texture pack.
