Page scrolls up and down

Hello,

I just found your AutoResize script which is the bestest and simplest from all. Keep up the good work.

I found something that is a bit weird, when I enter like two pages of text and you let say type another word at the end the browser windows jumps up to the top and back down. Is there something that I'm doing wrong? I tried it directly on your demo.html

Resizing textareas with dynamically inserted content

I have approximately five textareas on the page that are all updated dynamically with varying content. I see you have a change event built into the plugin, but the textareas aren't resizing when I update their text using the following code: $('#description').val(contentVariable)

Am I doing something wrong?

I appreciate any help I can get.

On browser ie wrong to calculate the height

I'm trying the code on both FireFox and IE.
Works on Firefox but on IE the height of the textarea is wrong.
I still try if I find something in the code and tell you if I find the reason for this behavior.

"padding" css-style for textarea is handled incorrectly

Try to perform
$("#textarea").css({padding:"20px"}).autoResize();
and you'll be surprised... (Autogrow doesn't consider the padding are in the autogrow calculation)

1 Row?

How to get the textarea to 1 row? Ideally it would be nice to have the option if it were one row and when active, a little extra space would appear so the user knows they have the extra space to keep typing if need.

$.browser is deprecated

The script doesn't work in jQuery 1.9+ due to $.browser being removed.

I don't understand why the change and paste events are needed.

The change event is fired when the textarea loses focus.
The paste event is fired before the contents of the clipboard are pasted into the document.
