azurermtemplates's Issues

activedirectorynewdomain template references missing files

I've been excitedly consuming the activedirectorynewdomain (https://github.com/azurermtemplates/azurermtemplates/tree/master/activedirectorynewdomain) template for a couple of days. Minor issue, it seems this version, which is non-HA, needs a couple of files (vnet.json, vnet-with-dns-server.json) that aren't present. They are present in the HA version (https://github.com/azurermtemplates/azurermtemplates/tree/master/activedirectorynewdomain-ha-2-dc). I've been able to work around this by giving the HA version's URL for the parameter AssetLocation.

Ubuntu Chef template issue with public IP DNS name

Has a problem because the "dnsName" : "[variables('subnet1Name')]" needs to be globally unique. It should have a variable for user to input on the template or scrap the public dns name.
When you run the template, it gives you the error
"DNS record subnet-1.westus.cloudapp.azure.com. is already used by another public IP. "

Template naming conventions

Would probably be best if we came up with some template naming conventions to include in the contributor guidelines. We may even want to re-organize the directory structure of this repository as the number of templates continues to grow.
