4K Cameras Text Garbled

Hi,

I tried this app but it does not display correctly if the Camera is set to 4K h.264. It only works for me if I decrease it to 1080p.

rtsp url format !!!

Hi there !

Good job, simple !

My problem is the correct rtsp url I need for a generic 1080p camera. (CcCloudcam AI WiFi Camera labeled YCC365 with Android app, YCC365 plus, which connects to their Cloud and plays fine on the phone app with PTZ.)

Going to Onvif Device Manager for Windows, I can see the link live stream as rtsp://192.168.1.2:554 for example, and I have to type up the usr/pwd separately as admin (no password.)

Plays also in VLC with usr/pwd input and above link.

But what do I input in Surveillance Cameras ?

rtsp://[email protected]:554 ???

I have tried various permutations with or without admin, admin:, :554 but I get no pic. (The camera profile loads as Camera 1, but clicking on it doesn't bring up any pic/video.)

is there a way to view multiple cameras at the same time?

[Feature request] Add support for 4 cameras

Why only 3 cameras? Most home DVRs have 4 cameras. Please add support for one more camera.

picture distorted

I have a 2k rtsp camera. When I start the addon, the first picture is perfect. But after 2-3 seconds, the picture is distorted. It seems that it is only updated partly. Maybe the moving things are update, picture elements not moving are not updated.
In VLC and other players, I have no problem.

Ubuntu upgrade killed functionality

I just upgraded my Ubuntu from 18.04.6 to 20.04.3 and I believe it upgraded Kodi as part of the process. The only plugin I have installed is the Surveillance Monitor v0.0.3. It still remembers all my cameras and their address strings, but when I click on them in the plugin window, nothing happens.

Kodi reports it is from Debian 18.6 Compiled 2020-04-03.

My cameras still stream to VNC, but your Kodi plugin is a much nicer way to access them. Do you have any ideas how I might get it working again?

Development status

I saw you pushed some commits to the matrix branch but there is not an entry in the official repos. Is the code good enough as-is for Matrix? Do you plan on supporting Nexus? Thanks.

Set transport to TCP

I really like this addon, the only downside is that it does not have the possibility to set transport to TCP. It works, but the image is corrupted from time to time, which is (probably) caused by UDP transport.

Can not access cameras with password protection.

I can use this add-on to view un-secured cameras with no problems, but when trying to access any of my IP cameras that require a login, I get a message in the add-on that says:

"One or more items failed to play. Check the log for more information about this message."

The log only says "error opening <my.camera.URL> failed with code 401" - error 401 is an authentication failure.

The format I am using to pass the login credentials is:

http://xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx/mjpeg_read.php?user=uuu&pw=ppppp

Using this same URL in my browser shows me the live stream just fine, but it doesn't work in the add-on?
Why?
Does this add-on not support cameras that require login authentication?
