Explore revisions to XR hand meshes to reduce triangle count

The default XR hand meshes were recently updated and now have about a third of the weight of our meshes. Explore the tradeoff in quality of adapting our meshes to be lighter or modifying the official XR meshes to use our shader. Possible outcomes:

  • We create a reduced weight hand mesh alternative to our hand mesh as an additional option for users
  • We adapt the official XR hand meshes to be able to use the custom shader for our XR hand meshes
  • We offer the official XR hand meshes as an option for users without adapting for our custom shader

CORS Issue with the Assets

I'm not sure if this is the right place to report this, but i'm getting CORS issues whether it be from the playground, or from any side-app that uses Babylon.JS

Request for clarification in README on scope of repo

Hi team,

Is this repo meant to stay only focused on Bablyon.js assets used on the site or could it grow much larger and incorporate community generated content. Please see this thread on the forum. In particularly I'm looking for a replacement for these unity assets and if I can not find them I will at some point write my own... I would like for them to be useful for others hence asking about the scope for this repo.

Invalid assets

These assets report errors with glTF validator:

Elf/Elf.gltf
meshes/Yeti/MayaExport
meshes/Demos/retargeting/riggedMesh.glb

I'm using these files for unit testing, which I think it's the purpose of this repository... I would like these to be fixed, or moved to a separate directory for "malformed files", or removed altogether.
