node-red-contrib-calc's Issues

Rounding doesn't work on any of the functions.

I'm using Node-Red v1.1.0 from within Home Assistant, and find that I'm unable to enter a number for the rounding option - it always reverts to zero. I downloaded the node from the Manage Palette menu.

(This issue seems to have been reported previously for an earlier version of Node-Red, and was subsequently closed. It's a very handy node and thanks to the Developer for providing it.)

Decimal places

The 'Sum' function randomly throws a result with several decimal places.
The node is being supplied with 2 values in an array from a 'Join' node. Each value has 1 decimal place.

Round upwards/downwards suggestion

Great calculator for Node Red, question regarding the round upwards/downwards. Would it be possible to ad a feature to round on decimals, for example:

0.86 -> 0.9
0.84 -> 0.8

Many thanks, keep up the great work!

Percentage Calculation

Great addition to node-red.
It would be great to have percentage calculation like using a percentage value instead of the constant in the constant field.
This way, the output would be the payload after the percentage addition/subtraction.. and so forth.

Question: Average across multiple mqtt msgs ?

Is this built in, the docs only mention an array passed in.

Is there a way to build and store an array for averages in nodered?
Maybe batch every x, or some global buffer?

Not sure how persistent data works in nodered, but it would be nice to have a small bucket for math operations. Oddly enough I see values in my average but i have no idea how its working/storing subsequent msgs

Suggestion.

You call this node calc, yet in the palette it is called calculator.
There is another node with a very similar name and it makes it annoying not having the node name match the name in the palette.

On your example page, the node's icon isn't show - just a blank function node.

The actual node has a calculator icon.

That too throws a spanner in the works when trying to find it.

Feature request: log10

Hi there - really useful addition to Node-RED, but was disappointed to see that log10 was left out. Any chance it could be included in a release in the near future? Thanks!

truncate with decimals

when you got the time and mood please add a truncate option for decimals too, the round to decimals is rounding up/down, while a trunc option could cut from 5 decimals to 2 decimals without rounding. (ex. 3.19 round to 1 decimal is 3.2 but trunc to 1 decimal is 3.1)
thank you!
