Hi!
Obviously, SharpAvi is not specifically suited to be used in UWP apps as there are no binaries targeting UAP or .NET Standard. Also, bundled implementations of audio/video compression relies on the components which may be not available to UWP apps.
I've just tested a fresh UWP app project targeting the latest Win 10 Fall Update with SharpAvi package 2.1.0. It gives a warning during build about possible incompatibility with UAP but works however. I only checked video without compression and audio. Of course, an app should have access to the path it supplies to the constructor of AviWriter. I used AppDataPaths.GetDefault().LocalAppData.
