pong-firebase's Issues

Incorrect UID from Firebase

in AuthContext.js the returned UID after creating a user, is not the same UID as shown in the firebase console, and it's not the UID we get when retrieving the user at a later date.

I've not seen the correct user ID in the response from createUserWithEmailAndPassword yet, but hopefully it's in there, or there's something else that can be done.

This is quite important as the UID is the only thing that ties a users auth account to their data in firestore (other than perhaps email, which is an option, as firebase auth requires emails to be unique)

Register account very inconsistent

When you register account, most of the time it will not work (but still handles errors and redirects to login)

I suspect that there is an aspect of promises not being handled correctly, but I can't see any of that in the codebase

This app can't reliably be used until this is fixed
