This is a Next.js project bootstrapped with create-next-app
.
18/08/2022: I have completed the bulk of my first Next.js app and the next step is to deploy to vercel, explore other hosting options, and then engage in further learning on Search Engine Optimization.
10/08/2022: I went through the initial Learn Next.js tutorials to get to this point, covering from JavaScript -> React -> Next.js, how Next.js works, navigating between pages, and now moving into pre-rendering and data fetching, dynamic routes, API routes, and deployment.
First, run the development server:
npm run dev
# or
yarn dev
Open http://localhost:3000 with your browser to see the result.
You can start editing the page by modifying pages/index.js
. The page auto-updates as you edit the file.
API routes can be accessed on http://localhost:3000/api/hello. This endpoint can be edited in pages/api/hello.js
.
The pages/api
directory is mapped to /api/*
. Files in this directory are treated as API routes instead of React pages.

The easiest way to deploy your Next.js app is to use the Vercel Platform from the creators of Next.js.
