thoughtstormlog's Introduction

Thoughtstorm® Log.

My aim for this project is to create a good-looking, simple and functional site where the user can log their discoveries from a Thoughtstorm session. I would like to incorporate search functionality to be able to search the recorded logs by date or key words. As a stretch, I would like to add a Parallax effect on the home page.

Update

23/08/2022: Redis Database up and running, with search functionality. Next up is developing a nice way of viewing each Log, and adding some styling. Also on the to-do list is to add instructions and more information about Thoughtstorm.

22/08/2022: Still in the early stages here. I am exploring how I can make the log page with the option to update it with a form that takes in the date, roll call, questions, corecepts etc. I am unsure at present how I will turn this form data into markdown ready to be rendered, or if that is even the best approach. Parallax effect could be fun.

Built with Next.js

This is a Next.js project bootstrapped with create-next-app.

Getting Started

First, run the development server:

npm run dev
# or
yarn dev

Open http://localhost:3000 with your browser to see the result.

You can start editing the page by modifying pages/index.js. The page auto-updates as you edit the file.

API routes can be accessed on http://localhost:3000/api/hello. This endpoint can be edited in pages/api/hello.js.

The pages/api directory is mapped to /api/*. Files in this directory are treated as API routes instead of React pages.
