a blog site (written in markdown) powered by next.js

First, run the development server:

npm run dev

Open http://localhost:3000 with your browser to see the result.

dependencies & devDependencies

  1. gray-matter : allows us to parse the formatter section and the content section from a content string
  2. markdown-it : pkg can convert markdown into HTML
  3. typography : plugin that makes md translation "pretty"
  4. tailwindcss : tailwind css is a utility-first CSS framework packed with classes that can be composed to build any design, directly in your markup
  5. eslint : a static code analysis tool for identifying problematic patterns found in JavaScript code

Getting Started

To get started with Next-Blog, you'll need to have Node.js and npm installed on your computer. Once you have those installed, you can clone the repository and install the dependencies:

git clone https://github.com/ben40d9/next-blog.git
cd next-blog
npm install

Next, you'll need to create a .env.local file with the following environment variables:

DATABASE_URL=your_database_url_here

You can then start the development server:

npm run dev

And visit http://localhost:3000 in your web browser to see the application.
