Hacktoberfest 2020 Swag List

It's that time of year again! Time to get rewarded for contributing to the Open Source community! Did you know that there are multiple tech companies that participate in Hacktoberfest and give away sweet, sweet swag?

This repo seeks to document all of the companies giving away swag for Hacktoberfest 2020 and how you can get your hands on some free gifts for your time and help.

Hacktoberfest is about making meaningful contributions to open source projects. SPAM for the sake of a shirt will not be tolerated

  • Requirements:
    • 1-3 PRs to receive a sticker pack
    • 4 PRs to receive stickers and a T-shirt
    • Develop one new Orb and get all of the stuff plus a Magic Pin
  • How to sign up:
    • Challenge 1: Complete a merged or accepted PR to include orb usage on an existing CircleCI config
    • Challenge 2: Develop and publish an orb using the Orb Development Kit (COMING SOON). Make sure your orb offers value to other developers!
    • After you are done with any one of the two challenges use this form to enter you PRs.
  • Notes: Check out the official website of CircleCI here. PRs must either be merged or tagged with the "Orbtoberfest" label to count.

  • Requirements: Be the contributor with the most merged PRs
  • How to sign up: Please, fill out this DX Heroes Hacktoberfest2020 Participant Form first. Then just visit one of our open source projects - DX Knowledge Base or DX Scanner, make a pull request and compete with other contributors in the friendly competition to earn your place in the Leaderboard of Contributors.
