pyflo's Issues

PyFlo GUI

@alexiusacademia I started a new thread to discuss GUI ideas.

I have started a GUI program based on the rational method stormsewer analysis portion of the source code. What kind of features did you have in mind, Also do you think we should have the GUI as an independent project and keep pyflo as just a backend library?

Numpy arrays vs. lists of tuples

What are the pros and cons? I've been reading up on numpy arrays and feel like this might be a better way to implement some of the "ordered pairs" functions.

Irregular sections

Irregular sections and application to reaches has to be refined and tested.

Typical usage example:

network = networks.Network()
n_1 = network.create_node()
n_2 = network.create_node()
ps = [
    (-10.0, 3.0),
    (-5.0, 1.0),
    (0.0, 0.0),
    (5.0, 1.0),
    (10.0, 3.0),
]
s = sections.Irregular(points=ps, n=0.06)
n_1.create_reach(node_2=n_2, invert_1=2.0, invert_2=1.0, length=300.0, section=s)
  • Wet perimeter, given depth
  • Flow area, given depth
  • Unit testing applications with reaches
  • Unit testing control examples
  • Unit testing extreme inputs
