酒吧的英文是Pub，是Public House的简称。
Pub的由来也是有一段历史的，
一千年前的英国农家喜欢自己酿酒，后来觉得自己喝不过瘾，
于是就搬出来卖，为了能招揽顾客，于是便在外面挂上招牌，
因为农夫不会写字，所以招牌上没有文字，只有图案。
现在英国一些著名酒吧的招牌上，都有一些图案，比如有的招牌上面画了一只羊，
那就表示这家酒吧老板的祖先是养羊的。
在英国有很多酒吧都是历史悠久的，是许多作家、艺术家流连索取灵感的地方。
每一家酒吧都有不同的图案，都代表着每一个非常不同的、传奇的故事。
酒吧常常在9点以后才开始忙碌，一周只有周四、周五、周六人最多，也最为热闹。
周末往往会有乐队演出，通常演奏那种令酒客为之沉醉的Jazz，每当那迷人的音符响起的时候，
整个酒吧除了掌声就是酒后的疯狂了。
