Auto slideshow website image

Website image

The auto slideshow should take the first image of the website slideshow and, if they are not already set, set them as the item image, the website image and create the website thumbnail.

Issues:

• Thumbnail creation should probably be handled in erpnext_ebay as the default options are poor - thumbnails should (at the very least) preserve aspect ratio.
• A file doc needs to be created, otherwise ERPNext throws away the website image and thumbnail on validation.
• There should be a way of deleting the file document later - this may require creating attachments (possibly to a symlink). Failure to do this could result in refusal by ERPNext to delete the item (as the linked file doc still exists).

eBay category import broken

Only some eBay categories are imported. May be a Unicode issue; should add unicodification as in ebay_requests (?).

International shipping, delayed payment

International Shipping (eBay.com) is not appearing on Sales Invoices?
Delayed PayPal leads to payment not appearing on SINV - should/can this be fixed?

Disable use of branch item_group categories

Example,

category must be Other Scientific Instruments and not Scientific instruments.

Slideshows - CSS inline styles

Inline CSS styles considered harmful

The code that runs the Auto Slideshow and the View Slideshow makes some use of inline CSS styles. These should ideally be phased out and replaced with CSS files distributed through the normal Frappe 'asset' system.

eBay order Country detection

sync_orders still failing to get Country right; in this case for 'Deutschland'. Need to add local-language Country names.

There is an issue with Rest of World sales not working correctly.

Sync functions check roles; should check document permissions instead

Sales Invoices - cannot create refunds on eBay-created Sales Invoices

Sales Invoices created by erpnext_ebay have a unique ebay_order_id, which prevents a refund from being created.

Consider adding new entries and Online Selling Types to represent the Website Selling price list.

Information on running this project

It wasn’t immediately apparent to me how to install this. It looks like it could be a frappe site in a bench but it is hard for me to tell and I have not been able to find any documentation on the setup process.

How are we meant to install this? Into an existing ERPNext installation as a module?

Any direction would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Rerunning auto slideshow will fail

The routine to run the auto slideshow will fail if run a second time. It will happily overwrite the files for that item, but it will not overwrite the symlink for the web image.

This should be changed so that the symlink is either overwritten or deleted before recreation.

Item Group eBay field too narrow to display full eBay Category

The Item Group eBay (on Item) field is too narrow to display the full eBay Category.

Either we need to display a wider field view, which I am not sure is possible, or the eBay Category ID needs to be displayed on the View Slideshow page.

eBay URL

The eBay URL on the Online Selling Platform is always an ebay.com URL because a US server is always used for GetItem.

There is an issue where the address is not being created for items which are unpaid

SHIPPING_ITEM is hard coded

SHIPPING_ITEM should be an option in eBay Manager Settings
