timing & notifications
need to somewhat redo that wolfgang paragraph and make it less vague
- only apply shortly before (hook into monitor the traffic), and remove the culling immediately after the maintenance
- notify the participants through an (emailed?) maintenance notification and make them aware of the fact that bgp session culling will be used
- perhaps use shutdown communication through the route servers as well for affected participant ports
- the above two factors will help prevent operators from needlessly carrying out troubleshooting
although the last item is a bit of a weak point

real life examples
how many examples should we include, and which ones should we include?
current set of examples is nicely diverse, but SR-OS for instance is not commonly used at IXPs.
I don't think it'll be good to include each and every platform on the planet, I suggest we select 3 - but which 3?

QFX example doesn't work on 5100s
Need to change either port or the model listed for example.
