Sample does not work

After downloading the sample and compiling using visual studio 2017 community, the example fails to function. Seed node 1 and 2 come up and gossip, web node comes up and gossips with seed nodes 1 and 2, but the actual ask from the post doesn't get responded to and it appears the ask doesn't make it to the receive actor despite that the gossip shows the nodes active and communicating.
