J23, rotor lock function jumpers and display options

What is J23 for?

Which of the stepper driver jumpers are for X and Y. I only want to enable the lock rotor detection function on X and Y.

I see RX1/TX1 and RX2/TX2 on the port for the original display. I guess these are 2 independant serial port? If using 12864 then I can use both of these? are they separate from the TFT serial port?

Using both original and 12864 displays at the same time would be just enabling both in the configuration.h no?

Nozzle digs into bed after board install

I installed the latest firmware yesterday, and when I attempt a print, auto level or homing the printer, the nozzle continually tries to dig into the bed. I tried adjusting the pot under the fan shroud, but it appears the board ignores when contact is detected. Also, regarding the auto level, my original touch screen hangs up on spot #1 - only rebooting the printer fixes it.

missing folder include

i want in visual studio compile firmwawre for skr cr6 for Creality scren from source wich you have publish there, i use funktion autobulid and got information about missing folder include. when i compile firmware for BTT scren it compile with out any problem i add two screnshots with information that i got.

ABL Not working and The Z home does not work as should.

I have a CR-6 SR with the BTT CR6 V1 motherboard and a TFT70.

I home Z so I can do a ABL. But I notice that it hits the bed to hard each time that the strut bends.
When it has finished the Home Z, the nozzle is hitting the bed to much.

I do a ABL and save. I press the main home icon again and it it goes down to the bed to much that the blue light is on.
So I use baby steps to get the distance right. And save that. I Press the main Home icon, and it still hits the bed.

So I do a G28 then a G29 then a M500. It's still the same. I can not get the gap between the bed and nozzle right.
So I put a M420 S1 after the G28 in Cura and simplify3d. If you look at the picture you can see it does not work.

Using the Creality board. One just presses home and use the up\down icon to get the nozzle gap right.
Can you fix this or give me some advice on what to do please?
Thank you.

I should of said that I have made sure a;; the screws under the glass bed are tight.

Where are the files that should be on the SD card

I need the firmware.cur file that was loaded into the board when I received the unit. Since this board does not ship with an SD card which has the firmware.bin file loaded into the board memory, can you please provide it?

Missing TFT/J16 pin assignments

Connector J16 for the TFT lists the pins:

RST
TX2
RX2
GND
5V+

However, there is no STM32F103 pin assignment to TX and RX. Such as PA8 (for the RGB connector).

What are the TX2 and RX2 connected to via pin IDs?

Z axi don't go up

Hi All

I been have problem with my BTT borad. I follow all the instructions but I can't Z axi don't respond to screen command. It's only go down no up at all I tried deffrent things and I bought new btt borad but still same problem.

Troubleshooting is been done.

1- firmware been flashed many times.
2- check all the cables all connected good.
3- use M122 confirm all x, y, Z connect and pass.
4-invert the Z axi + but same problem with deffrent screen.
5- use BTT screen and Creality screen same problem.
6- put back my old Creality borad everything is working without any problems.

Any idea what else can be done?

auto-level blanc + no save on PLA pre-heat settings

Hi

when pressing auto-level, the screen doesn't show the 16 places for the auto-level to touch + text indicate that the temp of the nozzle should be 0°C.
Pressing the back button and entering again the auto-level, fixes this bug.
Sometimes you have the issue again, and again need to implement workaround again.

PLA pre-heat settings are blanc and do not survive a power-off/on.

=> latest firmware: update from 4 days ago. Info says "BTT-SKR-CR6 V1.0"

Will the schematic of this board be published?

Hello,

will the circuit layout/schematic be published like they were with the other bigtreetrech boards? Even the newly released SKR2 has a schematics pdf, BIGTREETECH SKR 2-SCH.pdf.

I would appreciate it to develop with this board.

Bricked Bootloader

Hi,

I played around with the source code and my ST-Link for a while now but as murphy's law is a thing I flashed the program to the wrong starting address removing part of the Bootloader. I could kick myself since I didn't think to make a backup of the out-of-box memory content.

Is it possible that you could upload the bootloader for the SKR-CR6 to this repo or issue?

Can't activate "Case light" (nozzle LED)

I tried M42 P6 S255 which worked on the stock CR6 Motherboard, then I tried M355 P255 S1, also M42 P4, P5 etc.
Nothing switches on the nozzle LED, which is blinking when flashing the firmware.

I'm using firmware(CR6 Original Touch Screen).
Is it an advantage for me, to compile from BTT-SKR-CR6 instead?
I see the changes are more recent.

Using the BTT V1.0 CR6 Motherboard, of course. Printer works fine otherwise (I don't have any of the displays; OctoPrint + OctoDash).

Thanks for any hints.

Lock Rotor detection, (stallguard, sensorless homing)

I cannot find which of those pins to short for X and Y , obviously I do not want to use 'lock rotor detect' on E or Z so I do not want to short out those jumpers.

looking at the traces I can say I think Z is the very right hand side stepper driver and diag pin, so do not place jumper on this one, now I have to guess, is it the middle two? I think Y is middle right, so now which is X?

How is this board now so old yet the instructions are so bad? Please update them. If anyone knows which jumper are for which axis then please do post the answer.

Many Thanks

firmware flashed incorrectly error

I was using the Community edition which now seems abandoned. I went to load Klipper to the board and no matter what I try to load, I get firmware flashed incorrectly error. This all began with attempting to load the Community Edition 6.1 with the default Creality LCD. It would be nice if there were fewer files and a few more instructions. What exactly does "firmware flashed incorrectly" mean, a checksum or crc error. I've been doing firmware for 50 years and never had such a useless message displayed.

How do I get Passed this error? Is this from not flashing the display? Klipper doesn't use this display at all. Nothing anywhee has any mention of this error that I can find in documentation.
