fediverse-friendly-moderation-covenant's Issues

Remove fedi.absturztau.be

See https://fedi.absturztau.be/notice/A8ikH8RP0VJfIPSF2O

This breaks "Communication before Actions" and "No Guilt-by-Association/Federation" (the kiwifarms instance is being defederated for being associated with the kiwifarms forum).

In addition they are known for banning local users that break no rules of the instance. Breaking "Actions taken will respond to the bare minimum to keep the network operating and not influence the ability of the instances users to connect to other people".

Remove disqordia.space

The admin defederates remote users instance-wide and harasses them due to personal disagreements and without any prior "communication before actions".

This breaks "Actions taken will respond to the bare minimum to keep the network operating and not influence the ability of the instances users to connect to other people" and "Communication before Actions".

It also came to my attention that they defederated with various instances without any previous communication.

Add tagging agreement for potentially illegal content.

This is probably the furthest from some of the other things in this agreement (it's basically making a rule across servers), but I think that this will help reduce the need to block other instances greatly. In essence, my proposal is that servers hosting potentially illegal content properly tag their posts. I've been in positions where I am forced to block instances because of things like lolicon that I can't properly filter out. However other kinds of content, such as piracy, leaks, and other questionably legal materials might be good to tag. How we define what is to be tagged is still a question that I think warrants discussion. It's a small thing that would greatly reduce the amount of instance-wide blocks.
