For the meantime I was just installing [email protected] explicity, but having it solved in a newer version is a better solution.

Thanks for the report! You're right, we messed up with semver. In the short-term, you can do ] add XAM#hotfix-kb, but @jakobnissen is working on making a new release of Automa that rolls back the break. BioJulia/Automa.jl#76

EDIT: Actually, my fix isn't working 🤔 don't do that

OK, fixed that branch, so you can use that in the immediate term, but new version of Automa with breaking code removed was just tagged. JuliaRegistries/General#32895

Once that's merged (should be soon) you can just do ] up and get back to working. Sorry for the inconvenience!
